Burke and Hare Edinburgh

Located on High Riggs, just off the Grassmarket (a popular pub crawl hot spot) the Burke and Hare is one of Edinburgh’s most popular strip clubs.

A modest venue, the Burke and Hare splits itself over two small floors. Immediately to your left upon entry is the bar and centered in the club is a large pole dancing area. Girls do fully naked shows on stage, in rotations every 10 minutes or so. During the week there can be up to 5 dancers and at weekends 10 plus.

The second floor has a number of private dance rooms. These curtained areas provide privacy for paying customers who want a more intimate show with a girl. A dance costs £10 and lasts for about three minutes or the duration of a song. With stiff competition from rival clubs in the “Pubic Triangle” area - a named coined from the amount of strip clubs in one location - the Burke and Hare are now offering half price private dances during the week. See the chalk boards on the venue entrance for any deals.

If you are the unlucky victim of a stag party, you can be coaxed or volunteered to participate in a dominatrix style show with candle wax, a whip, some squishy cream and a naked dancer. This humerous event is chargeable at about £40 and we don’t need to say much more.

The Burke is a nice venue where you can relax and unwind during the week, watching sports on one of the large LCD tv screens if the girls catch your eye. At weekends expect a full hours and a crammed venue, with little room to move when the show is in full swing. For £5 with fully naked shows, you can’t complain though. Drinks prices are a little bit more expensive, starting at around £3, but that’s expected in strip clubs.
