City Nightclub Edinburgh
City Nightclub is by far one of the largest venues in Edinburgh, with a capacity exceeding 1,500. Coupled with Sportsters Bar and the Mezz Grill next door, City is a super venue comprising of a bar, nightclub and restaurant. Opening its doors a couple of years ago, City grew from strength to strength with a blend of large areas, fantastic equipment and unique events.

Starting with the state-of-the-art sound and lighting system, City is lit up like an ultimate rave and the sound quality exceeds any other premises in Edinburgh. The 6 bars in the nightclub alone mean you’ll never need to wait long for a drink and the numerous seating areas gives you an spot to relax when you need one, without searching far.

The Sportsbar is open during the day and hosts all major sporting events on multiple TV screens. Relax in leather seats or have a good meal in the Mezz Grill upstairs. As the sun disappears and clubbers come out to play, City open it’s doors and Sportsters provides another access point to and from the club.

Wednesday - I love…Wednesdays
Every Wednesday City and Sportsters host the largest student night in Edinburgh - I love…Wednesdays. Popular with students from all universities, Shark entertains a huge crowd of over 1,000. Chart & cheese pump out the speakers in City, Funky house in Mezz Bar and RnB in Sportsters, entertaining music lovers of all genres from 10pm - 3am. Entry is £4 and definately a night you have to visit.
Friday - Boogie Express
A new edition every Friday at City is Boogie Express, a 70’s disco sensation with DJ Stretch Limo. Flares, big shades and afro’s complete a night of boogie-ing. Entry is £3 with a student card of £5 without.
Saturday - Love 2 Funk
Saturday’s at City is Love 2 Funk, a popular night with a blend of funky house music. Kicking off at 11pm, the nightclub fills quickly with a mix of both students and non-students.
What really sets City apart from other venues in Edinburgh is the Celebrities the club regularly plays host to, including the Hibernian football team, DJ Dave Pearce 2 Many Dj’s and Nuts Magazine! Further to that, every clubber can enjoy the Hot Tub, a new feature allowing party-goers to relax in a jacuzzi in between a dance!

Without a doubt City/Sportsters is one of the more popular venues in Edinburgh and attracts crowds of a thousand plus on a weekly basis. Definately one to pen in the diary.

Wednesdays at City are the best, the club is full then and the party is really jumping. I’d recommend it to all students!
