Located just off the Grassmarket on Kingstables road, Stereo Nightclub sits within the heart of Edinburgh’s city centre. Comprising of three floors, Stereo caters for an eclectic mix of music lovers, mainly chart, RnB, House and Indie.

Stereo Nightclub Main Floor

The ground floor has three pool tables and some arcade machines if you want to relax and take a time out from the party. The main floor is the largest with two seating areas and a bar that stretches the length of the room. Finally, the top floor is pure white in colour and has plenty of seats to relax.

Stereo is open on a Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday and has dedicated nights for each, encorporating fun, cheap drinks and a good time.

Stereo Nightclub Top Floor

Tuesday - ShagTag

One of the busiest student nights in Edinburgh, ShagTag is a unique concept that is well established at Stereo. Upon arrival each clubber is given a sticker with a unique number, their Tag. On the main floor there is an area where you can post and receive messages from other clubbers by identifying them using their number. You don’t need to participate if you don’t want too however it can be fun!

On the main floor is Chart, RnB and Party Anthems whilst upstairs caters for Indie and Rock lovers.

Entry is £3 for students / £5 for non-students or £2 before 11pm with a Stereo Band.
Selected spirits £1, Bottles and Draught £1.50!

Thursday - Remedy

Remedy is another student night at stereo that really gets the fun going with themed nights, such as “Doctor’s and Nurses” or a”Pyjama Party“! The music is generally the same as Tuesdays and the mood is fun and appealing.

Free entry before 12am with a student card, £3 afterwards. £4 for non-students or £3 with a flyer.

Friday - Hot

A new 80’s night taking Stereo by storm! Mainstream music pumps out on the main floor whilst a selection of the finest hits in the 80’s rock the White Room (top floor). A number of drinks deals are available also.

Saturday - Love Groove

Saturday’s at Stereo can mean busy, as workers join students to fill the club up early. The music changes slightly and the Party Anthems are dropped from the main floor in favour of Disco and Classic Dance whilst on the main floor Funky House is pumped into the air.

It can get quite hot when the club is filled but the atmosphere is easy and everyone just wants a good night out. Expect to queue if you arrive after 12am.

Entry is £2 for students before 12am, £4 afterwards. £6 for non-students.

Doctors and Nurses at Stereo Nightclub

Verdict

Stereo is one of the better clubs to visit on a night out in Edinburgh. Their unique events bright humour to a night out and catering for different music tastes seem to go down well with clubbers.
