I graduate in 2007 and have been working for a major energy supplier since then. I only got this job by being reffered by an existing employee after being turned down for months.
In previous applications I was either too qualified or had no experience so I needed to get anything steady. I took the job at the energy company as a call centre customer service advisor with a view of it being temporary.
Unfortunately finding work only got harder so I have been applying internally as I've been seconded onto a project which has given me experience in other roles.
About 13 months has gone by since I started my job and now the credit crunch has hit the job market in a bad way. LLoyds, Scottish Widows and Standard Life are only recruiting internally or hiring contracters due to the instability of the markets.
This has made finding a job for me even harder. How has it affected you?
