Nightclubs in Edinburgh
Edinburgh’s is the home of many bars, nightclubs and events, including the MTV awards and other concerts. There are just far too many places to list, so we’ve narrowed it down to the main areas and drawn up a 7 day plan for the party-goers!
Rose Street
Home of many traditional pubs, including names such as Filthy McNasty’s and the Bad Ass, Rose Street is a quieter area for the older audience. Located in between Princes Street and George Street, Rose Street is within easy reach and a place you must have a drink in during your stay in the capital.

George Street
The hip area of town, George Street hosts many upper class venues such as The Opal Lounge - visited by Prince William and Harry - Shanghai and the Why Not club. Expect to pay more for a drink here but if you want to party in style then George Street is the place to be.

Grassmarket
This area of town is very busy and has many popular bars including Biddy Milligans and Finnegans Wake (both Irish themed venues). Expect a busy street full of Stag and Hen parties, an enjoyable experience for all ages.

Cowgate
Just off the Grassmarket, the Cowgate is a stretch of road with a number of venues, including the Three Sister’s pub (very popular), Opium Rock Club, Espionage and Siglo. A younger crowd dominates this area of town and it is always lively.

Market Street
A smaller area of the town with two large venues, Massa and City. Massa is primarily an urban venue with RnB and Hip-Hop most nights whilst City comprises of a popular mix of music.

Another busy area of town, again with the younger crowd, popular nightspots include the Subway and Lava & Ignite.

“Pubic Triangle”
The name is coined from the amount of Strip clubs in one area, the “Pubic Triangle” is home to the infamous Burke & Hare, Western and Hooters strip clubs. For those venturing further afield, Liquroice runs a transport service that will pick up groups of guys from the Grassmarket to the venue and back.
