Nightclubs in London
Of course you will already know, but England’s capital City is the be all and end all of nightlife in the UK. From Shoreditch and Soho to Camden and Brixton there’s always somewhere to go, something to do and someone to meet. Many of the nightclubs around the City open at 10pm and stay open until 5am on weekends, so there’s plenty of time to spare while you try out the hundreds of venues in the Capital. While London is renowned for being pricey, the cost of a night out in this City depends on which pubs, clubs and bars you visit so it’s worth trying out a few before you settle.
There are some incredibly famous venues in London such as FABRIC nightclub and of course the many music venues including Brixton Academy and the London Astoria. Alternatively, if you’re looking for a fun night out in the heart of this cultural City then look to the huge range of English pubs and award winning bars such as Rockwell in Trafalgar Square. It certainly won’t be possible to see them all in one night but however long you’re staying whether it’s one night or two years you’ll never get bored of the nightlife in London.
Notting Hill
Apart from the annual Notting Hill Carnival, this part of London is a beautiful place to spend a night out with a great number of bars and clubs. Cherry Jam on Porchester Road is home to unique cocktails, food and live music acts with flamboyant décor and a vivacious atmosphere. If it’s culture and a good talking point that you’re after then feast your eyes on the Notting Hill Arts Club; a venue that is looking to bring Art into the world to make it a better place to live. Alternatively, if you’re simply looking for an unadulterated good night out on the tiles then head for Envy nightclub on Woodfield Road for some delicious cocktails, great company and electrifying music. Some great pubs in the Notting Hill area include The Cock and Bottle on Needham Road, Guesthouse West on Westbourne Grove and The Leinster on Ossington Street.
Shoreditch
Located in the borough of Hackney, Shoreditch is a prime spot for clubbing, drinking and socialising. The venues range from traditional and old fashioned pubs such as The Eleanor Arms on Old Ford Road to multi-story nightclubs such as Walkabout on Upper Street. Of course there are all the bars, restaurants and lounges in between including the swanky ‘Departure’ and the OQO cocktail bar.
Soho
This area of London is not just famous for its sex industry. While that might interest some, there’s a venue in Soho for pretty much everyone, from the African themed Umbaba club on Ganton Street to the Shochu Lounge cocktail bar on Kingly Street. Soho is most definitely the most exciting and upcoming area in the West of London. Also don’t forget to visit Bar Chocolate on D’Arblay Street for a cocktail, glass of wine or mug of creamy hot chocolate.
Camden
Securing its place right in the heart of London City, the borough of Camden’s nightlife is always on the go. Club KOKO goes without mentioning with its fantastic array of live acts and breathtaking atmosphere. Just over the road is club Charlotte playing funky dance tunes and great cocktails all night through. If you’re looking for bars in Camden then why not try out the retro themed ‘Bar Vinyl’ on Inverness Street for a true Camden experience, or the burger-bar style ‘Grand Union’ bar on Camden Road.
