Nightclubs in Newcastle
As the sun sets in the Newcastle city, the glitzy night life with its neon lights, music and laughter begins to lure its residents to its lively venues for some wicked revelry. What makes the city even more endearing is that the ‘Geordies’ (the locals) are extremely friendly and upbeat. Since most of the nightclubs are frequented by the students, many of these places have special discounted nights to entice the young and happening crowd.

Though the drinks aren’t too great the lager is available for just £1.
Head of Steam is another popular pub in the Newcastle on Tyne area. Since it is located close to the station, reaching there isn’t a problem at all. The club gets overcrowded on students and weekend nights and is highly popular among the student fraternity.
Revolution is well known for its fruity vodka cocktails. A converted bank, the ambiance has beautiful high ornate ceilings and bar area. Tiger Tiger located at the Gates is a slightly more expensive place then the usual student bars and on the weeknights is full of more mature students who prefer the themed rooms, good food and music without the crowd. However on Mondays, the students night, the place is stuffed to the gills with most people dressing to impress here.
World Head Quarters hosts good bands from time to time and is frequented by the students on Friday nights when the entry is relatively cheap. It plays good dance music and offers pub meals which are reasonably priced. It is a spacious pub that also shows football matches and is a regular haunt for most students living in that area.
It is advisable to avoid Gates on weekends as the local crowd gathers there and things can get a bit unruly and out of hand as well. The Quayside is nice with great pubs like Sea and Quayside bars. Since lot of students frequent these places, the drinks are reasonably priced and the crowd is quite well behaved. Blu Bambu and the Basement are also favourite student hubs and are wonderful if you want to get drunk quickly.
